With more than 100 years of history, NIBCO de Reynosa, S.A. de C.V. is a company manufacturing products commonly used in homes, constructions, on different types of industries and on irrigation markets around the world.

This American company was founded in 1904 by Kasper Gottlieb Schweitzer, it is a family company that has passed from generation to generation; currently is in charge of the fourth generation and the fifth is being trained.

This world recognized company is headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana (US), and it has 11 plants in different countries, but only one is settled in Mexico and 1 in Poland.

NIBCO began operations in Reynosa, Tamaulipas on May 27th 1986, 33 years ago; it has a surface of 110,000 square feet that employ a workforce of 400 to 450 employees, and many of them have substantial experience in the company.

In the plant located in this city are manufactured bronze valves for fluids handling such as water, gas, oil and air.  The use of NIBCO manufactured products can be used in domestic areas as well as in commercial or industrial.

The manufacturing process done in this plant is in fact amazing and fascinating, to see raw material smelting for then be poured in special molds which are also manufactured in this plant, and after some process be able to see the finished product, is really something worth to announce to the community so they can know what is done in this city.

There are more than 3,000 pieces produced per shift in this plant, they produce about 600,00 pounds per month.

Mariza Gutierrez, human resources manager said that although today they manufacture a wide variety of products with the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, they have been able to be capable of optimizing the space in such manner that there is no need to have the original industrial building expanded, except for one made in 1992.

NIBCO exports its products to the world market, being the United States the link to the rest of the world.



Mariza Gutierrez assured that in general her experience with Mexican workforce has been good, people is hard working and willing to learn, and mainly always ready to help; thanks to her enthusiastic and loyal workforce this plant has achieved being successful and obtained different recognitions.

Its human capital is so valuable for this company, that several projects have been implemented to take care of their people, an example of that was the opening of a gym where each employee has the opportunity of taking care of their physical health and keep them motivated on their daily activity.
