The Japanese company represents an accumulated investment of 120 Million Dollars
KitagawaIronWorks is a Japanese company specialized in smelting and machining of auto-parts, it arrived to the State in 2012 and by the end of October announced the expansion of its smelting plant, which will start operations in January next year at the Logistica Automotriz Industrial Park (PILA.)
At the protocolary event, named Ji-ire, which is the moment where smelted iron is poured for the first time, it was leaded by the Kitagawa president in Mexico, Norihito Matsuba and the vice-president worldwide, Hiroshi Kitagawa.
At his opening speech, the president of the company, Norihito Matsuba commented: “As company, all employees from Kitagawa Mexico will continue making efforts to continue growing, thus supporting the development of Aguascalientes and Mexico.”
In addition he added that this growth will allow them duplicating their production capability, reaching 1,400 tons of smelting per month in more than 11 thousand square meters where 100 more collaborators will be operating, with which they will reach an approximate of 550 job positions. He also mentioned that each element in the production process is carefully managed to achieve better quality standards, supported by world class technology.
The Japanese smelting company has more than 70 years of history, worldwide they have 2,500 employees and its production base expands to four countries: Japan, Thailand, China and Mexico. It includes a wide range of industrial sectors as for example synthetic material, where automotive parts, construction machinery, agro-industrial, among others, are manufactured.
At the formal ceremony were present the mayor of Aguascalientes Tere Jimenez, who congratulated the growth of the company, since this reflects more and better jobs for the entity.
Kitagawa arrived in February 2012 to Aguascalientes, with a total investment of 80 million dollars, having as partner Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal who has a 25 percent of participation in assets, in July that same year the foundation stone was placed at the Logistica Automotriz Industrial Park (PILA.) In 2012 the machining plant production started and in November 2013, the smelting plant, operating with products maximum quality.
