Aguascalientes bets on field promotion
The general director of the Trust Funds for Rural Development (FIRA,) Rafael Gamboa Gonzalez and the governor of the State of Aguascalientes, Martin Orozco Sandoval signed a collaboration agreement, so that agricultural and agro-industrial producers can access credits more easily, attractive and without compromising its patrimony, this, through a completely state resource fund, and whose sum will amount to 10 million pesos, as a guarantee for the financing.
“The objective of this firm is the will that we have as a government together with FIRA, in order to support the field, we set the guarantees so that they are granted with credits and they can take advantage of it, giving added value to their work, as well as the one that begins to innovate in farming, so that a greater profitability is generated,” indicated the governor of the State.
He emphasized the importance of products diversification grown in the State, such as avocado, which began to be produced in the municipality of Calvillo, or the project for the cultivation of pitaya, in the localities of Seats and El Llano.
In the event, the 30 producers of the field received support from the Productive Reconversion Program for the establishment of 120 new hectares of asparagus, in which were invested 720 thousand pesos for the acquisition of seed and the strengthening of the farming process.
Regarding to the Irrigation District 01, the state agent reported that there are more than 3 thousand hectares completed and that for this year the National Water Commission's resource for its advancing is of 46 million pesos, however what is required is the amount of 500 million pesos; so they will continue with the management to obtain more funds from the Federation.
Rafael Gamboa Gonzalez, general director of the Trust Funds for Rural Development (FIRA,) assured that once the financing is completed, this will be 30 million pesos, and where, in addition, the signature of the agreement with the State Government, will allow economic revenue of at least 100 million pesos.
Consecutively, the Ministry of Rural and Agribusiness Development of the State (SEDRAE, by its Spanish initials) Manuel Alejandro Gonzalez Martinez; referred to the importance of promoting conversion actions in crops such as asparagus, because they demand less water in relation to traditional crops, since they are more profitable, since the commercialization is guaranteed through contract farming.
Likewise, the head of SEDRAE said that in the Agrosfera Agroindustrial Park, are observed three investment projects, with the installation of a milled and dehydrated food processing company, as well as olive oil producer and a milk dehydrating plant, same that could arrive to the agro-park.
