The Collaboration Links Strengthening Ceremony was held in the facilities of the Universidad Aeronautica in Queretaro where the Vice-admiral Juan Jose Padilla Olmos, general coordinator of Naval Aeronautics, participated in representation of the Navy Secretary, Admiral Rafael Ojeda Duran; Jorge Gutierrez Velasco Rodriguez, rector of UNAQ; and Francisco Dominguez Servien, governor of the State of Queretaro.

 

As a result of this linkage, it is intended to obtain important benefits such as researchers exchange, work in training projects for both parties, as well as for the technological development through the Institute for Research and Technology Development of Mexican Army, said the rector Jorge Gutierrez.

 

Juan Jose Padilla Olmos recognized the growth Aerocluster Queretaro has registered as an economic development point and remembered how the process was to create this educational institution.  He underlined that only with 14 years of history, the university competes with facilities that have more time and experience.

 

Likewise, he announced that the willingness of the Ministry of Navy (SEMAR, by its Spanish initials) to share their experiences in naval aeronautics matters, always under the allocution of the Heroic Naval-Military School: to serve Mexico.

 

During his intervention, Francisco Dominguez underlined that the Queretaro growth model of the Triple Axis links knowledge and academy research with industry productivity and Government on its role as facilitator.

 

He thanked the donation of a helicopter, five helicopter engines and an airplane from SEMAR and the UNAQ, tools that facilitate the approach of the university community to naval aeronautic processes.

 

He noted that graduates from this institution are professionals contributing with creativity, ideas and solutions to brands as Airbus, Bombardier, Safran or ITP, companies’ global co-leadership in the aerospace sector.

 

In the State, more than eight thousand 500 people have a highly specialized job in the aeronautic industry of the State, therefore Queretaro is the fourth investment destination in that sector.

 

During the ceremony were recognized the five members of SEMAR who died when fighting the fire that affected the municipality of Jalpan de Serra Biosphere.  Finally, a plate of appreciation was granted to Juan Jose Olmos for the support provided to UNAQ.

 

There were also present the secretaries of Education and Sustainable Development, Alfredo Botello Montes and Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, respectively; as well as the mayors of Colon and El Marques, Alejandro Ochoa Valencia and Enrique Vega Carriles.
