After 11 years of being established in the entity, the company Elica Aria Nouva, located in the Queretaro Industrial Park, fulfilled its second expansion; with it its workforce will increase 30 %.


The Italian company started operations in 2006 and employed 32 people, currently it has 700 collaborators responsible of producing cooker hoods, which are marketed in Canada and the United States.


With the second expansion of this company will be invested 100 million pesos approximately and projected growth for the next five years, exceeding 900 employees.


The head of the Ministry of Sustainable Development (SEDESU, by its Spanish initials) Marco Del Prete Tercero, lead the startup of the expansion works, in his message he highlighted that, 1,797 Italian companies are present in the country, from which 52 are in Queretaro, therefore in the last seven years the Italian industry grew 92%.


“Regarding the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI,) in 2016 Italian companies invested 41.6 million dollars in the entity, which represented 6.9 % from the total Italian investment in the country,” shared the state official.


In a period from January to July 2017, the manufacture of accessories, electric devices and electric energy generation equipment, which is part of the manufacture of domestic use electric devices, produced 10.551.342 million of pesos, equivalent to a 6.2 % increase in comparison with the same period the year before.


The manufacture of accessories and electric devices locates them as the sixth more important in our State, surpassed by industries that manufacture transportation, food, plastic and rubber, among others.
