New president of Index NL sworn-in

 

Eduardo Elizondo Williams, operations vice-president at Whirlpool Mexico, sworn-in last February 26th as president of the Export Industry (INDEX) Nuevo Leon, for Moncayo exercise.

By swearing-in as president of INDEX Nuevo Leon, the Engineer Elizondo said that the export industry in Nuevo Leon is the cornerstone of the country’s economy and underlined that without doubt it is forefront of the industrial sector in the Mexican Republic.

250 companies are registered at INDEX Nuevo Leon, which generate more than 287,000 direct jobs and represent 67 % of the State exports.

In his message Elizondo recognized the secretary Ildefonso Guajardo, for the intensive and excellent work he has done in developing the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement update from North America, and in coordination with INDEX Nacional and the Council Business Coordinator have participated in the Intelligence Room.

“The main objective has been to generate statistic information, create strategies that allow us sending a positive message of commerce with our allies, to policymakers and different political actors from the United States of America,” he added.
