The company Automotive Components (IAC) laid the first foundation stone of their plant which will be settled at the Finsa Industrial park in Santa Catarina, and although to the moment the investment amount has not been revealed they are anticipating the creation of more than 950 jobs.
At the event was present Samuel Pena, undersecretary of Investment and Industrial Promotion from the Ministry of Economy in Nuevo Leon, who detailed that this is the first stage of what will be a complex inside the Industrial Park.
Likewise, we provide details about the American company and said that it has 22 thousand employees globally. “The company has 50 industrial plants in 20 countries and this time we are welcoming to the municipality of Santa Catarina.”
“The pieces they manufacture are diverse, this means, it is not one in particular; they manage different components and have relations with great amount of suppliers and assemblers, therefore we have no doubt that they will expand quickly as they start their operations,” Pena said.
In addition, the plant highlights for being Tier 1 classification, this means that it directly supplies the assemblers among them General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, to mention a few, “it is a very large project, the Tier 1 company, means being the most important member of a supply chain and Automotive Components International (IAC) has demonstrate it,” the undersecretary ended.
