HellermannTyton Manufacturas, plant Nuevo Leon, announced the expansion of its infrastructure with the objective of closing this year with an installed capacity higher than 45 %.


From 2017 to 2019 end, it is expected total revenue in investments higher than 30 million dollars and a job source generation of 300 workers.


The English-German company manufactures flanges and cable fasteners, electric isolations, cable protection, components for the automotive and electric industry, identification systems, application tools, and connectivity.


Victor Sanchez, plant manager in Mexico, explained that during the upcoming three years they anticipate reaching an installed capacity of 80 % and for that, they will invest another 10 million dollars approximately.


Regarding the generation of new job sources, he said they already anticipate the creation of another 200 labor positions, to reach a workforce of 500 workers in 2022.


“We are the manufacturing plant in Mexico that serves the automotive and electric sector, in addition to having a distribution center in Guadalajara, Jalisco,” he added.


“Right now we are expanding our installed capability, our products’ demand is increasing and we hope for it to increase even more with the approval of the USMCA.  Company Shareholders are betting on Mexico,” said the plant manager.


Until now, the company has settled 35 plastic injection machines with a range from 50 to 1,500 tons, as well as 16 automatic assembly stations, semiautomatic and manual.


“The expansion area duplicates warehouse size and provides space for an expansion of up to 95 injection machines, in addition to new industrial dining completely equipped for our employees,” detailed Sanchez.


HellermannTyton was founded in 1935 and operates 15 manufacturing centers worldwide, developing products in 12 locations.  More than 5,000 employees work in the company in 38 countries.
