CLAUT organized the 8th edition of Automotive Supplier


The Automotive Cluster Nuevo Leon (CLAUT,) with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Labor of the State Government, organized the eighth edition of Automotive Supplier, which had place on September 19th and 20th at Centro Convex in Monterrey.

After seven years of success, Automotive Supplier has consolidated as the most representative event of its kind in the northern of the country.  Through it, assembler and Tier 1 companies of the automotive industry gather with potential supplying companies to generate new business opportunities, achieving thus the main objective of the event: increase national integration and promote the substitution of imports to the sector.

The big competitive advantage of this event is that supplying companies have the opportunity of entering directly in contact with the right people from the purchasing areas in assembler and Tier 1 companies, process that will take months, which allows SMEs optimizing and accelerate their commercial process.

On the other hand, the dynamics of the event allow Assembler and Tier 1 companies to firsthand report to supply companies the type of goods and services they are demanding, as well as detecting potential suppliers, reducing location time of possible vendors to supply their supply chain.

Among the buyers that attended the business tables highlighted important national and transnational companies, such as: Arconic, Autozone, BRP, Bosh, CNH, Caterpillar + Caterpillar Planta Torreon, Cuprum, Dina, Denso, Ficosa, Flex, Giant Motors, Gonher, Jetro, John Deere, Kenworth, Katcon, Metalsa, Michelin, Nemak, Newell, CIE Pemsa Satillo, Sisamex, Stant, Tesla, ZF and Vitro.

It was estimated that the attendance to the 2018 edition reached between 450 and 500 people and is estimated that there were among 200 and 250 suppliers represented, more than 27 buying companies and about 550 business tables were fulfilled.

“Today more than ever we consider that it is important to keep unity within the sector and redouble efforts to increase the national integration and competitiveness of the industry; and this is precisely the objective of the Automotive Supplier event,” explained Manuel Montoya Ortega, general director of CLAUT.
