The National Institute of the Entrepreneur (INADEM, by its Spanish initials) recognized that for third consecutive year the Fab Campus de Spark UP 2018 – 2019 from the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, for having the only High Specialization in Development of Functional Prototypes Workshop for entrepreneurs in the State of Jalisco.


 


This is one of the 28 workshops nationwide with support for young entrepreneurs launching tests before releasing their product or service into the market.


 


The work has been successful thanks to the linkage among the School of Engineering, the Vice rectory of Research and Spark UP, to support graduates of incubation processes in the development of innovative prototypes seeking for a profitable target and reachable in sales, reflecting research applied at business level.


 


Until now 11 prototypes have been made, with five on waiting list; more than 345 work hours have been invested on innovation and design schools; mechatronics; systems and computer graphics.


 


Among the laboratories that have worked are the one of electronic, control, manufacturing and MediaLab.


 


The academics committed with this project and that have supported entrepreneur students are Fidencio Tapia, Leonardo Valdivia, Jafet Rodriguez, Alberto Rosas, Orlando Montoya and Giovanna Trotta.


 


“Students and UP are benefited from INADEM by having presence on INADEM’s social networks, also in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and they can also have access to more calls and support from resources through INADEM and supporting entrepreneurs,” said Diego Gonzalez Bonilla, company’s acceleration coordinators.


 


With this awarding, the Universidad Panamericana de Guadalajara continues to be stronger within the Mexican entrepreneurial ecosystem and reinforce the development to applied innovation and research.
