At the 21st edition of the “Jalisco to Exporting” Award were recognized eight companies and institutions

In recognition of the excellence in the exporting activity of companies from the entity, the Foreign Trade Promotion Institute of the State of Jalisco (JALTRADE, by its Spanish initials) granted the Award “Jalisco to Exporting” 2017.

From 36 participating companies in this edition, 8 resulted winners.  Luis Aguirre Lang, president of JALTRADE, congratulated the winners and encourages them to continue with their good performance, in pursuit of achieving excellence.  He noted that the society, government and private initiative should continue betting in promoting the foreign trade dynamic, since its transversality impacts in the generation of jobs, wellbeing and in the future.

“In exportation we find the synthesis of quality, creativity and innovation.  Every time we send abroad a product from Jalisco we are sending a sample of what we are and therefore sending into the international market excellent products should be our goal,” he explained.

Likewise he said that Jalisco constitutes an export power nationally, which is reflected in the allocation of products from the state in 181 countries around the world, highlighting the United States, Netherlands and Germany.

“Exports from Jalisco through the first 8 months 2017 reached 33 thousand 742 million dollars, what represents a growth of 10.4 % regarding the same period of 2016.  The most present sectors were the electronic industry, transportation material, vegetables, processed food and alcoholic beverages,” said Aguirre Lang.

The Award “Jalisco to Exporting” is the maximum recognition granted by the state government to companies and organizations that achieve allocating their goods and services into the international market, through perseverance, creativity, innovation, quality and good practices.  This is also an encouragement for such companies to continue with their work, promoting more entities to join the development of export activities.

The awarding was attended by Ruben Resendiz, general director of JALTRADE; Miguel Angel Landeros, president of COMCE; Mauro Garza, president of COPARMEX Jalisco; Jaime Reyes, head of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology; Mario Mayo, president of the Banking Center of Guadalajara; Hans Neufeld, Foreign Trade vice-president at CANACO Guadalajara and Oscar Plascencia, general coordinator of Business Competitiveness from SEDECO.
