Talking about Foreign Trade is to talk of global influence subjects, trading is an analogy of a network where a thread affects consumer perception of daily life, the most important thing for SMEs, transnationals and with global development is being updated and take into account the changes generated in fiscal and foreign politics issues worldwide, since this affects products’ costs and its logistic journey.
There are many concerns among importers and exporters in the country, therefore it is important to be aware of foreign political trends. Recently in March the business sector presented the Federal Government a series of proposals to improve the customs legal framework, which promotes and strengthens national companies competitiveness and reduces risk in customs processes, in turn the President of the Republic presented the “National Customs Plan in the Fourth Transformation” to fight in a frontal manner corruption in customs, mainly in Mexico and the United States.
The recommendation for small and big companies is knowing their products well, know customs, avoiding blockings in operation times, keep updated regarding regulations directly affecting them, taking into account tariffs increases which have been prospected for different sectors. One of the important trends for this end of year, is the implementation of technologies for customs process and of automation, not only in customs, but also in sectors such as agriculture and industrial processes with artificial intelligence.
Having a good management of Communication and Information Technologies (CIT) provides a correct process of supply channel in logistics for our cargo, easily exchanging important documents for clearance processes, delivery receipts and previous remarks in origin or destination.
Logistics is another important issue for the correct management of operations, an anticipated planning of outputs, collections or delivery appointments, international bridges crossings between terrestrial customs and effective routes programming promotes affordable benefits that at the end of the day are a positive impact for companies’ economic flow, a good logistics planning can represent up to 40 % of savings in expenses of a company’s foreign trade operation.
Before this trends directly affecting the global trade relation, is important to have a good legislation that protects national market competitiveness with the support and commitment of SMEs and business sector to continue gaining ground in this contest to be the country with the highest trade positioning worldwide.
