Owed to Mexico’s success as guest of honor at the most important industrial fair in the world, Hannover Messe 2018, Deutsche Messe AG announced that the country will house in the city of Leon, Guanajuato, the industrial event Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM.)

 

ITM is scheduled for October 9th to 11th, 2019, at the exhibition center Poliforum Leon, and it is the new digital transformation and smart manufacturing platform in Mexico.

 

Here will be showed the latest advances in industrial technology, and the tools and information required to digitalize plants and encourage Industry 4.0.

 

The event will include industrial leading technologies and first level educational solutions, as well as a networking program.  It is addressed to sectors such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, food and beverages, metalworking, packaging and steel and petrochemical processes.

 

According with Jochen Kockler, CEO of Deutsche Messe AG, Mexico dazzles the industry as invited guest in the last Hannover Messe 2018: “Now is the time to bring the fair to Mexico it is a Hannover Messe event ideal for the Mexico's industrial booming.”

 

Regarding this, Eduardo Lopez, director of IMT project said in an interview for Mexico Industry that in the last edition of the Hannover Messe Fair, was seen the potential Mexico has in two aspects: in automation of processes of the industry in general and in the development of Mexican companies technology.

 

“What we want in ITM is to encourage.  For us it is important that it is recognized as an event of Hannover Messe portfolio, as where all this started; the project in general has three axes which are exhibition, education and conferences,” he explained.

 

He detailed that it is sought to emphasize the education subject since Mexico is incurring with trend and it is sought creating a single line for all the initiatives of industry 4.0.

 

In addition, it is anticipated that in the exhibition part will have four main columns: Smart Factory, Industrial Automation and Robotics; Digital Factory and Smart Logistics.

 

Meanwhile, regarding conferences some of them will be related with startups: “we will see the potential of the companies that are developing new things and that are mainly of young people that is encouraging for the industry.”

 

Eduardo Lopez said that Industrial Transformation Mexico is a platform for Mexico and Latin America, which will be held every year in the country.

 

He added that at the event companies can participate from Latin American countries that sell and have apps for the industry.

 

“It is the platform for Mexico and Latin America in the industry 4.0 and we would like for it be managed like that.  There is no platform in Mexico to show what companies have in digitalization issues, automation and robotization, therefore companies are very interested in participating at the event,” he referred.

 

Hannover Fairs México, subsidiary of Deutsche Messe in Mexico, organizes Industrial Transformation Mexico.  Likewise, Lopez Macias said that ProMexico is one of the institutions that are supporting them with the project, since was Mexico was the invited country in Hannover Messe 2018, they say the potential Mexican companies have which is developing technology with industrial application: “They also saw the potential our platform has for companies being able to make business.”

The next step is to stage an event in Mexico that focuses specifically on the opportunities and challenges in the Mexican market. Industrial Transformation MEXICO does just that,” he added

In addition, he assured that advanced manufacturing is the key for economic growth of the industrial market in Mexico.

“We are excited that Hannover Fairs Mexico has developed the first event on Industry 4.0 in Latin America, custom-made for Mexico,” he said.

 

WHY GUANAJUATO?

Eduardo Lopez, director of the project IMT, Guanajuato is one of the States that offers the best infrastructure and is in the heart of one of the largest industrial regions of Mexico.

 

In addition he said that it has an international airport and the fair enclosure of Poliforum Leon is one of the best exhibition center in the country.

 

“We will have 10,000 m2 of exhibition and we will be waiting about 8,000 attendees and about 160 exhibitors; in the plan, we will have areas for startups and special areas for networking,” he ended.
