Through an invitation from Cesar de la Garza and Luis Carlos Ramirez, director and president of Index, Chihuahua, respectively, Joel Escarcega became the new director of the Finance Committee of Index Chihuahua.
According to Index Chihuahua, both directives have the strong idea of that Joel will perform a great role at front as representative of such Committee.
For the last two years, Escarcega has represented Index in the security table of the city in sessions where the different Chambers of the city gathered, together with security authorities from the three levels of Government.
The communication department of Index also shared that the new director of the finance committee has several planes for their new responsibility, mainly the fiscal subject, which is a particularly important subject, since manufacturing export companies must be aware of fulfilling the valid laws and other rules.
On the other side, they are also seeking to set on the industry's discussion table subjects related with strategic issues, leadership, internal control better practices in other administration areas and integration with other Index committees that share common subjects such as foreign trade, human resources, as well as the purchase area.
Likewise, according to Escarcega, the main challenges his new position has is to achieve transcending as Finance Committee to other industry areas, and even the legislation issues that affect and must be reviewed with taxpayers to guarantee they are fare and that can be applied on practice. Such department also shared that another challenge is that members of the Committee also can participate and share issues with other members, since there is an enormous human capital with experts in different disciplines that will allow sharing more knowledge and experience in benefit of the industry.
Joel Arturo Escarcega Salmon is originally from Chihuahua, Chihuahua. He has a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting and a master's degree in Administration from the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua (UACH.)
He has been comptroller of MGS PLASTICS for four years now.
