A couple of conferences regarding the efficient use of energy and new rules impacting the manufacturing industry nationwide in 2019 were held at the facilities of the Instituto Tecnologico de Ciudad Juarez (ITCJ.)
The first conference, lectured by Ana Victoria Tarin, project engineer in Oak Creek Energy, talked about the RED Code, which is a new technical regulation issued by the Energy Regulatory Commission which contains the minimal technical requirements needed to guarantee the efficient development of all processes related with the National Electric System.
According to Carlos Yates, honorary member of the Energy Cluster in the state of Chihuahua, this information is important, since the RED code will also have interference within the manufacturing industry and its relation with electric energy consumption.
Yates reasserted that it is necessary for companies to know this new regulation, because if not, they can have sanctions which could go from 4 million to 16 million pesos.
“This code was approved in 2016, but it will come into force in April 2019. Therefore, it is very important for companies be prepared and trained in that issue, therefore the Energy Cluster has the greatest willingness to do it,” said Yates.
The second conference, lectured by Vicente Rodilla, director of Cysnergy, a Spanish company dedicated to electric efficiency, was about the experience the company has had for more than 30 years in the electric-technical sector of energy efficiency.
“What we had incorporated is the IoT (Internet of Things) to energetic efficiency. Based Energy 4.0 incorporates data mining and telemetry, smart analytics and operational efficiency. All this together is made through a hardware-software solution and an ad hoc energetic engineering application in an industrial plant,” he explained.
Vicente Rodilla said that this knowledge is very useful for companies, since thus specific consumption per exploitation. This way, according to Rodilla, companies could improve their competitiveness in the international market.
It is worth mentioning that Vicente Rodilla was invited by Repinel, company member of the Energy Cluster of the state of Chihuahua.
